This is mostly cause I would love to work at a university and live in SF but kinda limited to Berkeley or the like 2-3 academic jobs a year total in stuff I do at USF or SFSU, neither of which pay great and SFSU would be a commute so not different that UCLA.

I think the Mission Bay/Dogpatch developments in SF are fine (even if a bit lowrise) but I can’t help but wonder if it would have been a good opportunity to turn UCSF into a full UC, not just mostly a medical scale. There was plenty of land for like 10k undergrads+.
