Maybe you product does not alleviate a solid pain point? Or you are targeting an audience that does not spend much. I was in a similar situation not long ago. I had to drop the product after a while because I realized people were just not willing to pay for it. Very few sales although I was getting millions of views and my landing page was converting at 5.4% consistently, which is good. TikTok users were engaging with the content massively, but they probably did not feel like the product was “necessary”. That’s why I now try to focus on products that solve real pain points and high spending demographics.

Everyone talks about organic and ads, but there is a massive app promo opportunity that almost no one mentions. I am honestly shocked by how good this traffic source is. I am talking about clipping. If you are not familiar with it, clipping is a new form of paid traffic where you pay people to post your content on social media. Why is this such a great opportunity? It is dirt cheap and highly scalable. App developers are paying as low as $0.50 CPM for tier one traffic. Let me repeat that: You pay $0.50 per 1000 views for US, UK, EU, and AU traffic. To put things into perspective, even the lowest quality traffic networks charge more than $2 CPM. For social traffic, you are usually looking at a $5 minimum. In other words, you get high quality social traffic for ten times less. And that is not all… The way this works is that clippers only get paid when their video crosses 1000 views. Since platforms are pretty stingy with reach right now, most videos never hit that 1000 view mark. What does that mean? It means all the traffic you get from those smaller videos is totally free. So you end up paying way less than the advertised CPM. It is a complete no brainer. In my opinion, clipping really should be part of every app marketing strategy. A solid marketing setup looks like this: First is organic, which covers your own social channels, UGC creators, and SEO. Second is ad funnels, meaning optimized campaigns across networks like TikTok Ada, Meta Ads, and native ads. Third is clipping, where you build an army of people to repost your content. To launch a clipping campaign, you can check out platforms like @whop and @contentrewards. They make it super easy to manage your campaign, find and track your clippers, and send out payments. I genuinely believe the clipping industry will keep growing and will soon become one of the most popular traffic sources for businesses.

No idea bro, I don’t know the details, all I know is that it triggers fraud flags. You can find reports online of people getting flagged on Shopify when testing with real money. Also, Stan Store (which uses Stripe) explicitly tells you not to test with real purchases because of anti-fraud systems. You are supposed to test with sandbox/test environment…

@athcanft Good to know there is a way to make it work, because at the above rate, ngmi. For my first app, I am actually considering the annual plan only approach. That’s what those big app studios that focus on media buying do. Paid traffic is much easier with a $50-$70 offer.

$7 per 100 installs doesn't seem cheap to me. Especially when you factor in user acquisition costs, Apple’s cut, and inference costs (if your app uses AI). Keep in mind that the average purchase conversion rate is 2% to 3%. Let’s say you have a calorie-tracking app that charges $15/month with a 3% CR (which is healthy). AppsFlyer, in this case, costs you $2.33 per paying user. Factor in Apple’s cut, and that leaves you with just $8.17 for acquisition costs, inference costs, operational costs, taxes, etc. TikTok Ads alone can easily eat that up. So yeah, I don’t feel like AppsFlyer's pricing is grounded in the reality of the mobile app business.

I've decided to join the @contentrewards challenge so I can hopefully raise enough funds to launch my app. Inference costs ain't cheap! Here's how Day 1 went: • Picked a Campaign: I chose a campaign that looks solid. Plenty of content, viral videos already in circulation, and long-term potential. • Posted on YouTube: I uploaded 4 videos to YT today. Two got zero views, one has over 1200 views so far, and the last one hit 5000 views. • Posted on TikTok: I uploaded 3 videos to TikTok. The first one got taken down due to community guidelines, but the other two both got around 300 views. • What I Learned Today: A couple of important insights: 1. Never use the keyword "Make money" or its variations on TikTok. It's a surefire way to get a community guideline strike. I've known this for years...TikTok is very strict with the make money niche, but since I haven't posted in that niche for a while, I forgot that detail. The strike was a reminder! 2. YouTube is aggressively suppressing reused content. That's why you get 0 views. You need to be very creative about how you edit your videos to ensure they don't get flagged as reused content. • How Much I Made Today: A total of $3.5. It's far from enough to cover my app launch, but it's a start. We'll keep grinding this challenge!

@jorgiabays Warming up accounts is necessary on all social media platforms. Great thing about X is it literally tells you that your profile is not being recommended and lets you know what you need to do to prove you are not a bot. I think it’s stupid that other platforms don do that.

@nikitabier Since you are following TikTok geo approach, maybe you should also follow their more generous approach to content distribution and views? Cause right now, X is impossible to work with. You have to be incredibly patient (or desperate) to spend months writing content nobody reads.

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

Literally insane. This ugly bitch that stole millions of dollars directly from her fans is now claiming to be a victim. We were there. She was warned repeatedly not to do a memecoin. She then went dark for days when it predictably imploded. Hailey Welch is a diabolical fraud.

We've evaluated a lot of base models on perplexity-based evals and Kimi k2.5 proved to be the strongest! After that, we do continued pre-training and high-compute RL (a 4x scale-up). The combination of the strong base, CPT and RL, and Fireworks' inference and RL samplers make Composer-2 frontier level. It was a miss to not mention the Kimi base in our blog from the start. We'll fix that for the next model.
Kimi.ai@Kimi_Moonshot

Congrats to the @cursor_ai team on the launch of Composer 2! We are proud to see Kimi-k2.5 provide the foundation. Seeing our model integrated effectively through Cursor's continued pretraining & high-compute RL training is the open model ecosystem we love to support. Note: Cursor accesses Kimi-k2.5 via @FireworksAI_HQ ' hosted RL and inference platform as part of an authorized commercial partnership.
