@athcanft Thats objectively untrue, 59-70% of people use search of the App Store, depending on source. Search/ASO is a funnel too. Appreciate a real hot take, but searching for apps is also only a subset of ASO. Used to help rank app legitimacy, parallel links, etc.

@athcanft Yes, people don't search for your app when it's new, but they search using generic keyword, for example fitness at home etc,so if your app rank for that keyword then you will definitely convert some of that traffic

aso gets boosted by running ads users = downloads = reviews only basic optimization is needed - screenshots, logo, onboarding, paywall the ultimate skill to optimize is marketing - it is 90% of your profitability aso, seo, all that is helpful when you are established focus on getting established first

@athcanft ASO only works if you're in an underserved niche if there's 500 apps with same keywords just farm downloads & reviews that'll get you higher in the algorithm keywords etc are only one signal apples algo uses
