@US_Stormwatch I watched this one spawn on radar as the tiniest little spot. I am astonished by how large and strong it’s gotten and how absolutely far it’s tracked. Insane.

This monster tornado has been on the ground for over 70 miles and more than 2 hours, crossing the entire Galveston Bay. It is now at the doorstep of Port Arthur, Texas.
The tornado began near Alvin, Texas, just south of Houston. Insane.

@BeerBellySport @rotan_liz @ktrhnews Except we have no food and no AC. Can only speak as a parent myself, but we HAVE to leave and drive all over just to feed our kids. I had to drive to Brenham & Navasota the past few days just to get gas and meals.

Than don't bitch when you don't have power or your house fixed quickly. Took me literally 2 hours yesterday to drive to a spot that typically takes 30 minutes. Instead of being able to get to 20 customers houses yesterday, was only able to get to half. You want things fixed fast yet won't do what's required to help.

Instead of calling CenterPoint, it's time to call the FBI. Have you seen 1 of these trucks anywhere in Houston? We keep hearing about the 11,500 additional workers, but where are they? If you've seen one, please let us know. 1.5 million Houstonian's are still without power

Seems like @CenterPoint has forgotten that Montgomery County exists. 92% of the county is without power & there are zero updates for us. Absolutely ridiculous that a $6B+ company was so unprepared for a Cat1 like #Beryl. 54 hours with no electricity with no end in sight.

I read these hateful posts and I seethe. My kids both work there. Started the preparation well before the storm. Work from 6 am to 11 pm or later. They are knocking it out of the park but these whiny assholes have NO IDEA what it takes to fix their power.

Unbelievable, the complaints in these comments!!! Yes, my power is still out. My fridge and freezer contents are ruined. It’s hot and dark. But, I understand it takes time to assess the damage. It takes time to prepare the restoration plan. It takes time to check that the properly qualified people, with the proper equipment (trucks etc) and proper parts (transformers etc) are ready to go. Mainly, it takes time to remove safely all the huge trees the wind blew down onto lines and equipment. 1 million customers restored in only 48 hours in these conditions is a miracle. Kudos to Center Point and the thousands of outside electrical workers working in this heat and humidity.

@CenterPoint Did you “drone” in on the fact that you basically have a MONOPOLY on the power lines and infrastructure, that I guess other companies get to use, and a portion of our bill still gets funneled back to you? I guess that’s why upscale homes & politicians have power and WE don’t!

As part of our process to assess the impact of Hurricane #Beryl, we've walked approximately 4,500 miles of our electric circuits on foot and have used helicopter and drone surveillance to further inspect damage across our service territory, and in particular, some of the hardest-hit areas which include Baytown, Bellaire, Brazoria, Galveston and South Houston. @KhatleesiBeastM @CenterPoint We are in Montgomery County as well…..Magnolia area. Lost power Monday morning at 6:30am. I have not seen one single truck, lineman, drone…ect. We were out all day yesterday driving around and never saw anyone or anything happening. It’s a disgrace!

@KhatleesiBeastM @CenterPoint According to their own numbers we are 92% without power — which is insane considering the hardest hit counties are not nearly as bad. Galveston is 60%? Liberty being the next highest at 70%? We have been forgotten up here!

@CenterPoint There's not been a single "CenterPoint" anything in Montgomery County. We "neighbor news" each other here. You have almost 80,000 service customers without power. WHERE are your 10,000 plus workers and/or trucks? They're not here. Surely, we'd see at least ONE 🤷. Do I need to copy the Governor again to have him ask, to get an answer? Because I will.

@GregAbbott_TX myself & countless Texans having to set up new electric service this weekend would love to know why it’s okay for @CenterPoint & others to just decide to block everything. I have three children who will have no access to energy until AT LEAST Tuesday.
