If you look at the details of this case, the killer was the long-ago ex-boyfriend of Gret’s wife. He wrote a manifesto, flew in from out of state, went to their house in the middle of the night with a weapon, broke in, and shot Gret in his own bed. So much planning and premeditation, how in the world can this be the plea deal? Gret was a great man who had a young family, ran a nonprofit that was doing true humanitarian work and had his whole life ahead of him. Terribly unjust outcome.

What I have learned is to never ever go to a PA for an issue that requires problem-solving. They are fine for obvious problems like a skin infection that needs abx or a laceration that needs stitches. But for stuff that requires judgement & nuanced problem solving, they are not trained or qualified to do that.

After nearly a year of suffering with "hip flexor tendonitis," a few dozen physical therapy sessions and chronic gastritis from taking anti-inflammatories, I decided to see an orthopedic specialist yesterday instead of the PA who originally diagnosed me. This doctor is about 80 years old. He reviewed previous X-rays without ordering new ones and then examined me. He said, "Your problem is in the hip joint. Your muscles and tendons are fine." He thinks my hip labrum is torn, so he ordered an MRI. If he's correct and I've been suffering all this time needlessly, I am unlikely to ever see a PA for an initial diagnosis again.

It’s true. While I don’t gain much weight during pregnancy and drop most of it very quickly, longer term breastfeeding (>6 months) makes my body hold onto an extra ~10lbs of fat. No amount of diet restriction or exercise reduces it. I just have to accept being chubby while breastfeeding. But it comes right off after weaning.

men are like "just breastfeed you'll lose the weight" as if every single woman doesn't have an entirely different reaction to breast feeding lol most women I have spoken to (who are very fit) cannot drop the last 10-20 lbs while breastfeeding. I am praying I can because I am insane but if I can't thats literally just the female body doing what it has to do in order to SUSTAIN AN ENTIRELY NEW HUMAN LIFE??????

Our newborn baby girl is 8 days old today. But our oldest girl has now come down with a pretty bad case of strep it seems. Bad fever and vomiting. Can't eat anything or keep anything down long enough to keep her medicine down. Trying to keep little baby girl safe. Really pretty rough experience watching your first baby girl be sick and fearing for the health of your second. Please pray for us. Jesus, please keep my little girls safe.
