We made the very wise and retrospectively lucky decision to not launch pre-maturely and seek more legal clarity & build out the best experience for founders, their traditional investors and the interface layer between founders <> tokenholders. During the past months we conducted interviews and studies with over 100 traditional VCs and over 200 founders across Stanford & overall SF to turn Street from a weird idea into something people can accept as they accept Angelist on their cap table. Any delay in the past has been for your own good- and we learned massively in this process. Street isn't another launchpad that can be spun up in a week of Cursor vibe-coding, we saw 100 examples of why this doesn't work out this cycle. It's extensive legal work that has to be signed off by multiple large law firms for their clients & has to be accepted as SOTA. I could have easily done the BonkFun GTM and scammed one startup coin to $100m, be called the best product and the future of finance for a week until it would have all crashed down on us because we neither touched adverse selection on the token holder site nor on the startup side. Good things take time & when Street works out this industry is changed forever. Re-accuring liquidity over a draining lake, valuable tokens, all this is a 180 degree push not just a slight iteration of Believe, PumpFun and how they are all called.
