Peter Dutton and the Coalition have teamed up with One Nation and Senator Van to try to block cheaper medicines for six million Australians during this cost of living shock. The Senate now has a choice over the next 24 hours.

@JennyDavies70 @Mark_Butler_MP Yes Jenny, sorry I was not more specific. Those with chronic health conditions, who require medication manage my services will end up paying more under this policy. There will be no free services in pharmacies.

@2nann @Mark_Butler_MP I don’t doubt that that the owners of chemist warehouse are very well off. But I can assure you, that there are many of us, particularly under the age of 40 who are in dreadful trouble because of this policy.

@Mark_Butler_MP This policy is not as simple as you make it out to be mark. Get in tot weeds and consult with knowledgeable people in the sector. You are going to cause a great deal of harm by moving took quickly.

Five years ago the Coalition took the position to stop cheaper medicines. In this time, six million Australians have shelled out hundreds of millions of dollars that medicines experts said they shouldn't have had to pay.
