No accountability, no acknowledgment of anything that happened. Instead, they dismissed him and claimed his balance was made up of “rewards” rather than winnings from his deposits, which is simply not true. They also stated that he cannot access his funds because he is “self-excluded.” That is also false. The player never chose to self-exclude. His account was banned by Roobet, not the other way around. It’s absurd to ban an account holding $360,000 because a player said “I’m an addict” in the heat of the moment. People say things under stress. This wasn’t a formal admission, it was frustration and an attempt to speed up his withdrawal, made in the moment by someone who may have had a couple of drinks while gambling. Twisting that into “responsible gambling” to justify a ban makes the intent clear. This wasn’t about protecting the player.
