Too often, women walk into meetings already carrying the pressure to prove their credibility. While everyone benefits from preparation, for women in the workplace, being especially well prepared can be a powerful way to ensure their ideas are heard, respected, and remembered.

Wisdom, Wednesday! I invite you to focus on the words of Reese Witherspoon, “ I encourage women to step up. Don’t wait for somebody to ask you.”

Your body walks into the room before you say a word. Most women have been conditioned to make themselves smaller — hunched shoulders, arms crossed, voice that trails off at the end of a sentence. That needs to stop. Take up space, slow down and let silence work for you. #tips

Women, have you been branded in your workplace as the easy target? Does your boss know you won't make a fuss if you receive a sad raise, do your coworkers dump work on you, does your assisant know you will let it pass if he is late again? Summond your courage, push back!
