Imagine all the copper alloy pins in the Thames rising as one, a prickly faceless giant!

I picked up 109 copper alloy pins on my last lark. Each one was made by hand between c.1400 & 1800. They were used by everyone from Royalty to paupers to secure clothes, in lacemaking, and even to pin swaddling together. They wash up in great numbers if you know where to look
