When trading on a CEX, every order has to go through the exchange’s system. This means the platform has access to all your trading data: what you’re buying or selling, at what price, and in what size. From this information, it’s not hard to figure out how you’re trading. This is something many people overlook. When one party can see the entire order flow, in theory, they can use that information to act ahead of you, or provide advantages to other players like market makers. This kind of conflict of interest has existed in financial markets for a long time. @GoDark takes a different approach. Instead of routing orders through a system that can see everything, it is built as a Dark Pool, where user orders are not exposed. The way it works is quite interesting. Each order is not sent as a complete piece of data. Instead, it is split into multiple parts and distributed across different nodes. This process is called #MPC (Multi-Party Computation). In simple terms, no single node has enough information to understand the full order. Only when all parts are processed together does the order get reconstructed and matched. What’s important is that even with this “split and process” approach, the speed remains very fast. According to the project, matching latency is around 150 to 750 microseconds, which is close to the experience on centralized exchanges. So while no one can see what you are trading in real time, you don’t have to sacrifice much in terms of speed. In a simple comparison, CEX platforms still have strong advantages in liquidity and ecosystem, but offer very little privacy. Instead of sending fixed pieces of data, the system begins transmitting encoded combinations of information. No longer separate “pieces,” but equations capable of reconstructing the entire picture. That is how RLNC works. Each node in the network does more than just receive data it can recombine and forward new versions of that information. Even when some data is lost, the propagation process continues without disruption. The network becomes more flexible, more streamlined, and more efficient especially at scale.
