There were no Dune on the R1 Shop yet so I couldn’t apply referral dollars to the custom order. I thought I was getting special treatment, so I pulled the trigger instantly. Then the Dune variants hit the R1 Shop a few hours later. 😂😂😂

The A/T wheel on the R2 Performance impact both the range AND the 0-60 time. There is no A/T wheel shown in the R2 configurator on the Premium or Standard, so no impact to other trims at this time.

Rivian submitted a patent application for a “POWER LINE COMMUNICATIONS TO CONTROL LOCKING AND THERMAL MONITORING FEATURES FOR CHARGING APPLICATIONS”. Reading the abstract, this looks like they are working on a Tesla Magic Dock style design for the Rivian Adventure Network (RAN).

The R2 Standard with fixed rear glass also has a different wiper setup compared other Premium and Performance. It no longer hides into the rear lift gate. It also partially obscures the view when looking out the rear window.

You cannot accurately describe the R2 steering wheel experience. You'll want to make your way to a Rivian Space to try it once R2s start showing up for demo.
