It would be cool to create a practical way to repurpose old EV batteries as home energy storage. A Tesla Powerwall holds 13.5 kWh, while a Rivian Max Pack has 140 kWh of usable capacity, roughly 10 PW. Seems like a huge if the safety and installation challenges can be solved.

Today was a total bust on filming. Too windy for the canyon drone shots I imagined up near Mountain Loop highway. Too busy and/or too many flies to do my other shots. You win some and lose some. I guess I’ll just drink a cherry Coke Zero 🍒 out of the DOMETIC.

@TravisKetchum @lowcountryev @Rivian What expect spec did you order? I wanted to wait for Coastal Cloud but I feel like orders probably won’t open until late August, with probably 8 weeks for delivery… so basically Halloween - November.

@Mood93 @Rivian I wouldn't imagine, as they have common practice of doing accessories post vehicle delivery. Given even the other folks who ordered around my time all have VINs by at least a week is interesting.

Arches National Park was another really amazing one. Got to see some super unique rock formations up close. Inside those thin rock alleys, the temp drops by at least 10-15°C.
