Britain remains a class ridden, class obsessed society. The toffs in our government hold the little people in contempt and meanwhile a lot of people remain in awe of the likes of Mogg and Johnson, seeing them as a sort of apotheosis of brilliant Englishness. I hate it so much.

My dad’s 89th birthday, 3 weeks after my mother (his wife of 67 years) passed away. This is a man who shot a hole-in-one 6 weeks after quintuple bypass at 82, still drives, plays gin rummy 3 days a week, and has never let life beat him down. He taught me to just keep moving. ❤️❤️
