@Annaleen @mitpress I bought a copy of this for the Kindle but it didn't include your forward (apparently only in the print edition). Is there anywhere else that the forward is posted? I was looking forward (no pun intended) to reading it.

I wrote the introduction to this @mitpress reissue of the lost classic "The Clockwork Man." A cyborg escapes his virtual world and winds up in 1920s England, where he must confront feminism, progressivism, and -- gasp! -- a world without infinite hats. This book is amazing.
