The thing with Isagi is a reflection of reality. People want you to be confident, to not be a push over but dislike you once you achieve those qualities because it's something they don't have. Isagi is disliked because he thinks outside of insecurities & people can't relate

i think bllk fans are more prone to "hate" their mc more than other fandoms because he's kind of an ass sometimes . . . comparing to yuji, an universally loved mc, he was hopeful and joyful for most of the story (pre-modulo). no one wants to see yuji fail. isagi however-

I really want Blue Lock to step away from the actual games for a few chapters and give us a moment to breathe I think a look at what each character is thinking and their opinions on recent events would be really good for the series Ch152 was a good example

@fae_fair Someone said about the idea of Rin felt abandoned by Isagi with him joining the “karasu-system” is on point. Going for the “second-best” means going the same path as Sae’s (being the best midfielder instead of striker). Maybe that’s why Rin tried to drag Isagi back.
