It is not called that because it is not that. Classic @robertlufkinmd Type 2 diabetes involves two distinct pathologies. Insulin resistance, which the carbohydrate framing captures. And progressive beta-cell failure, which it erases entirely. Many patients require insulin not because they eat carbohydrates but because their pancreatic beta cells can no longer produce adequate insulin regardless of diet. Roy Taylor's DiRECT trial achieved T2D remission through negative energy balance, not carbohydrate restriction specifically. The mechanism is ectopic fat removal from the liver and pancreas. The window is the vehicle. The deficit is the driver. Precious. And when we asked what happens to cardiovascular outcomes in people with T2D and obesity who lose the weight and improve the metabolic picture, SELECT answered: 20% reduction in major cardiac events across 17,604 patients. That is the outcome data. The carbohydrate intolerance reframe has none. Not even a hint. Yet people keep flocking to this ApoB boosting lifestyle like lemmings. Why? You gotta love the short term effects. Long term consequences? Fugetaboutit! We are all LMHRS right? Whatever that means. Fascinating Reframing a disease to make standard treatment sound optional is not a thought experiment. It is a business model. Never give up. Never surrender!
Robert Lufkin MD@robertlufkinmd

I often wonder if, instead of calling it 'Type II Diabetes', we just renamed the disease 'Carbohydrate Intolerance', how many people would still require insulin?

Except that this is only half the story and the other half shows that the conclusion you drew is wrong. Why don't I have high blood glucose after eating the 120g of carbs in the 200g of rice I just ate with some chicken? My BG will top out below 8 mmol /Land be back around 5 mmol /Lin 90 minutes. My fasting BG is usually 4.6 - 4.8 mmol/L and my HbA1c is a low 5. And I was fully (and pretty severely) diabetic a few years ago ... while doing a low carb diet!

🗣️What Eric misses here is that high blood glucose is the result of insulin resistance and possibly pancreatic burnout. 🤡It’s pure nonsense to suggest that this is the result of carbs in the diet. 🔥Just about any low energy diet will begin reversing this - often quickly.
Dr. Eric Berg DC@dr_ericberg

The single root cause of most chronic diseases is high glucose! But the food industry has created the lie that glucose is your body’s preferred fuel because they can profit the most from refined carbohydrates! On the contrary, a low-carb diet of less than 30 grams of carbs per day is one of the best things you can do to improve your health.

The only guy that you got to respect utmost is this man from BJP. Remember when all new faces were not here in BJP, this man would run across Bengal with his workers to support the common man and workers against CPIM and TMC atrocities decades ago.

Hailey Goswami: "Many years ago veteran communist leader Subhas Chakraborty visited the temple of Maa Tara at Tarapeeth to offer his prayers . The communist party issued a show cause letter ordering him to explain his 'misconduct!' When the media asked him how he visited a religious place despite being a communist, he retorted: 'I am first a Hindu Brahmana and then a communist.' That proclamation of Hinduness raised many eyebrows and became a hot topic of discussion, ridicule and sarcasm." "Today as the new CM of Bengal reverentially carried puja offerings on his head to the shrine of Kalighat, I could not help but think: We Bengalis have come a long way from those cursed times. No Bengali will be shamed for being a Hindu anymore in his own land. That is why I say this is the second independence for Bengal."

Housing societies in Kolkata are throwing random parties since BJP’s win and this is not limited to a constituency or two. Its cray stuff. If you see, BJP has won entire south Kolkata.. Bhabanipur, Rashbehari, Behala Purba, Behala Paschim, Jadavpur, Tollygunge, Sonarpur Uttar and Dakshin.. It has won Bidhannagar, Rajarhat Newtown, Rajarhat Gopalpur, Baranagar. All with sizeable housing societies.. and we need to realise that TMC has been unseated from power in greater Kolkata after 26 years, not 15. Hence the outpouring of emotions is much higher than in 2011.

Don't know what lies ahead but my work is also done. I was BJP's Media Tracker & tasked to find viral contents for them against TMC. In ruling it won't ever be the same. Don't ever forget me, you'll all have to be here when I do the Puja Coverage in October.

You talk to anyone influential enough inside the BJP leadership and the RSS Ecosystem and they would talk about Bengal like a son who is being denied his mother's love by a demoness who has taken her captive. There's no hatred or animosity against the mother, just the agony of a son who desperately wants to free his mother from the clutches of a demoness. It's only on social media that you see edgelords shitting on Bengal. The RSS and the BJP have always had a profound love for Bengal. Regardless of any state they might be from. You recognise it immediately in the tone of their voice.
