@highbrow_nobrow The ironic thing about the gun smugglers is the only real punishment they face is if they get caught in the United States. If they make into Canada they are home free.

Canadian PM Mark Carney says criminals exploit “irresponsible American gun laws” and weak U.S. border enforcement to move illegal firearms into Canada, saying U.S. platforms have become “seas of racism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and hate.”

Proof of just how shallow a pool of candidates exist in Canada that meets the Laurentian eligibility criteria. This is the third or fourth government appointment Louise Arbour has received (in addition to her UN appointments). The same people simply get recycled over and over again and again. Outsiders need never apply and are never considered. Canada is basically run by a tiny club of people who all think the same way and talk the same language (neither English nor French, their language is "Ottawa").

@genocidalgirl Just imagine. You've survived puddles of water, elephants, sneak attacks from trains, electricity, leopards and have secured real bobs and vagine only to have your d-bag cousin kill you with a homemade firework before the bobs and vagine night goes down.

@OnlyBangersEth That last move, where he turns it away from the fence is very smart. He might have some experience with cattle. Get them out of a fix and they will, like as not, put themselves right back in the fix if you don’t positively aim them away from it.

Parents "absolutely don't" deserve to have rights over their children, Nova Scotia Education Minister Brandan Maguire says, as he voices support for secret gender transitions at schools and taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries.

@DeanPat57613010 If your sealing threads this is best stuff I found and if can lock is leaking you can make cheaters but instead of zip ties cut up a hose clamp band and slide them under the cams works better and lasts longer

@colewhogan This describes succinctly one of the reasons I despise our federal government. As a western Canadian I am ruled by this exclusive group and there is no way to fix it.

“Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, the leading theorist of all this, had a very Ottawa-Montreal-centric view of the country, and, perhaps predictably, one of the most observable consequences of official bilingualism in practice was keeping political power in the hands of men and women with backgrounds similar to his own: bilingual urban professionals from the Laurentian region (occasionally supplemented by the odd New Brunswicker). “This bilingual glass ceiling on political talent has warped Canadian democracy. Because French-speaking Canadians are not, in fact, distributed in any broadly even way across the country, Canada's most powerful ministries tend to be dominated by the most fluently bilingual, which in practice means politicians born, raised, educated and employed in the limited parts of Canada where French is part of day-to-day life. It's not a coincidence that over the last decade of Liberal rule, much power has been concentrated in the hands of white, bilingual central Canadians like Mélanie Joly, François-Philippe Champagne, Marc Miller, David McGuinty, David Lametti, Dominic LeBlanc and, for that matter, Justin Trudeau.” — @JJ_McCullough

@sarobertsonca Being from Saskatchewan, I have listened to Ralph Goodale all my life. He long ago mastered the ability to talk at length and say very little. A true Liberal quality. He also says what ever the Liberals of the moment want.

Ralph Goodale on Canada-US relations: "A relationship that has lasted for more than 80 yrs has come to an end. And we're now trying to build something to replace it. We need to make sure in building that replacement we are less vulnerable and less dependent than we used to be."
