@BuccoChicago @MacRumors the design already got refreshed with the 17 pro series. not much to change there now. it will prolly just be a big spec bump cus apple is testing a 200mp camera + they still don't have high storage speeds or 8k recording or silicon carbon. this is what i think but lets see.

@hoeviden @MacRumors If it's anything like the iPhone X, it'll just be the flagship iPhone w/a refreshed design. I don't want anything crazy. Smartphones have been pretty much the same since 2015ish w/minor annual spec bumps. That's why I'm making my 12 Pro Max last 7 years then upgrading to the 20.

@BuccoChicago @MacRumors & dont get the wrong idea, im not a hater. i would love to buy it but there's nothing extraordinary in tech world right now. there're just going to change some things like silicon carbon battery, under-display camera & say shit like "first time ever in an iphone". & this aint new

@ptomzc @Sufimindtricks2 @suchnerve 2. i said "copying data between ram & vram OR by borrowing ram as vram" the first is true for dedicated gpus & the second is true for igpu windows which has unified memory. none of them are unified memory on the chip package like apple & hence why they suffer & are worse.

@ptomzc @Sufimindtricks2 @suchnerve apple’s difference isnt the concept of unified memory, its the implementation. the memory is packed onto the chip itself & provides much higher bandwidth. while windows igpu is limited by standard system ram bandwidth.

@hoeviden @Sufimindtricks2 @suchnerve Bandwidth is different, but the rest is inaccurate. Windows/Linux/MacOS all support zero-copy buffers from CPU <--> GPU, and VRAM is not fixed-size.
