If subsidy was being funded through borrowing all along, then removing it should have significantly reduced government borrowing pressure and improved fiscal stability by now. So the real questions become: Why is debt still rising? Why is inflation still crushing people? I'm having an issue with my daughter right now. Her uncle sent 10,000 to my account for her. As a man who believes in transparency, I disclosed it. There's a ten thousand naira meant for you, but it's currently in my account and I don't have cash to give. She said fine, she wants to rear chickens since I want to buy some too. We bought 12 chicks, ten for me and two for her. These chickens are all big now. I spent at least 35,000 on chicken feed; she didn't contribute a dime. One of the chickens fell sick, so they made a pepper soup out of it. I wasn't at home. They did the same with the second one. The problem now is, she's insisting that the late two chickens are from my ten and not from her two. Her two remain constant while mine keep reducing. I intend to press charges as soon as I reach home. I need a lawyer.

Our lives matter too This is my personal one-month tax contribution to the Lagos State Government for March 2026. I cannot pay this money to the Akwa lbom State Government; I am mandated to pay it to Lagos State. Yet in the same Lagos where I pay these taxes, someone from lbadan, Ogun, Ondo, or Ekiti who pays zero taxes, will come out to tell me it is wrong if I am sent for government training with tax payers money: If I were paying taxes in a sane society, I should even be entitled to salaries from the government if I lose my job. But here, we pay for nothing, and some people will still say I cannot benefit from government programs because my surname is not Adekoya, Ajayi, or Olusola. If Nigeria is not ready for true federalism, let us know, so that everyone will pay taxes to their own state and demand benefits from their representatives there. So charging me huge taxes isn't insensitive, but asking for benefits is?
