The @slatestarcodex & @DKokotajlo episode. Scott and Daniel break down every month from now until the 2027 intelligence explosion. Misaligned hive minds, Xi and Trump waking up, automated Ilyas accelerating AI progress. I went in quite skeptical. But I learned a tremendous amount by bouncing different objections against them. In the OKCupid dataset: - Men averaged scores about 2.1 IQ points above women. - Bisexuals averaged 2.55 IQ points above heterosexuals and homosexuals averaged 1.05 points below them. - People with an "Other" sexual orientation averaged 10.95 points above heterosexuals.

Tulsi just fired every NSA employee that participated in that creepy group chat. Over 100 people. She's not messing around. Love it.

When you break out state-level test scores like this, it ends up giving a really interesting glimpse into which regional patterns do and which do not survive. For example, the South, is not a major underperformer despite the stereotypes. But West Virginia? Still rough.
