@41NS @RosieP4 @RighttoRoam @paulpowlesland honestly I feel like you’d like Right to Roam if you look at their practices in more detail - ‘right to responsible access with reasonable exceptions’ is the goal, to reconnect people to nature. Reasonable exceptions absolutely includes sensitive habitat, the above is rage-bait

@RosieP4 @RighttoRoam @paulpowlesland They should be rebranded Right To Disturb, I am extreme left on land ownership & think it should almost all be in public ownership & farmland rented to tenants, but I do not support mass freedom to disrupt habitat.

The mass trespass that’s coming our way in East Anglia, including Suffolk and Norwich, to scare breeding birds and trample wildflowers and plants underfoot. Brought to you by @RighttoRoam. @paulpowlesland what has Suffolk’s nature done to upset you?! First it’s 400,000 homes and then a mass trampling. What’s wrong with accessing nature by PROW and country lanes? @EDP24 @EADT24 @SuffolkMatthew @MurrrrMurray @HenryBarber @TrooperSnooks

Disgraceful scenes on the streets of Falmouth today, as @CornwallCouncil deliberately flouted the law in order to needlessly destroy three perfectly healthy & beautiful street trees. Even worse, to stop the local citizens who elect & fund them) from peacefully trying to stop their unlawful behaviour, the council turned the street into a battleground & used dozens of police & private security to allow their vandalism to go ahead, enforced with violence if necessary.

A day out for some of the Kernow Right to Roam team, to protect our right to wild camp on Dartmoor ahead of the supreme court ruling tomorrow.

Another ludicrous sentence. Judge Hehir is clearly putting in real effort to be remembered as the Judge Jeffreys of the era of climate collapse. It’s another stark reminder that if you want to get away with illegally throwing liquids at things, make sure it’s millions of litres of shit into rivers, rather than a can of soup at a painting.

Breaking: The Just Stop Oil protesters who threw soup on a Van Gogh painting have been jailed. Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland have been found guilty of criminal damage. Phoebe Plummer got 2 years! Good. Our leftist two-tier justice system finally got something right.

This trip reminded me how capable I can be alone, how happy I can be in my own head, and reiterated just how healing being in nature can be. I’ve come back completely euphoric. I reckon it’ll be time to do the East side come Spring!

Day 5: Sourton Tors to Okehampton. The final stretch of my trip, suffering from lots of blisters by this point! Spotted a kingfisher flying across an abandoned quarry. Made nature haikus as I walked, most of them lost to the Dartmoor wind.

Last week I hiked the west side of the Dartmoor Way, approximately 50 miles, wild camping as I went. It was the best thing I’ve done in a long time.
