Ex-Governor Adeleke, So, quality education has now become a campaign slogan instead of a fundamental responsibility of government, You enjoyed the privilege of affordable, publicly funded education in your own time because leaders then saw education as a right of the people, not as a political trophy to be displayed every election season. Building schools, improving universities, paying staff, and expanding access to education are not favours to the people—they are the bare minimum expected of any responsible government. Taxpayers shouldn't have to applaud leaders for doing what they were elected to do. The real question is: why is education being packaged as campaign material when many families are still struggling with the rising cost of living, unemployment, and the increasing cost of schooling? Good governance should speak through results, not endless self-congratulatory announcements. Education should liberate the masses, not be weaponised for political marketing. A government that truly believes in education invests in it consistently—not only when campaign season is around the corner.

Today, I fulfilled another promise I made to the good people of Ijesaland by commissioning six landmark projects at the University of Ilesa. What was once a promise is now a thriving institution with 12 faculties, over 110 academic programmes, and more than 15,000 students. Beyond establishing the University through legislation and securing accreditation for its programmes, our administration has prioritized the welfare of staff by converting contract workers to permanent appointments, implementing promotions, paying outstanding allowances and salary arrears, and improving infrastructure across the campus. I remain committed to building a world-class institution that will continue to empower generations of young people and drive the socio-economic development of Osun State. #ImoleCarryOnAccordingly

Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo explains how Peter Obi's car violated parking rules at the airport, how it was clamped and how Peter Obi peddled his influence to get the car released without paying the mandatory fine. Keyamo has now decided that Peter Obi must pay the N25,000 fine for wrongful, illegal and dangerous parking. The minister's account of what happened on July 4 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, completely debunked Obi's falsehood that he was unduly targeted and persecuted. The truth is that he and his police driver broke a simple parking rule at the airport.
Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FCIArb (UK)@fkeyamo

PETER OBI MUST APOLOGISE TO AIRPORT STAFF AND PAY THE FINE FOR WRONG PARKING As the Minister of Aviation, I felt a moral duty to investigate and authenticate the claim made by opposition candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, a few days ago that the tyres of his car were ‘unjustly’ clamped at the airport, suggesting a ‘persecution agenda’ against him by the Federal Government. Politics aside, every Nigerian is entitled to fair treatment under the law. I therefore instituted an internal inquiry over the issue. Luckily enough, the entire Abuja airport is covered by CCTV cameras, real-time, 24/7. But apparently, this fact was unknown to Mr. Peter Obi. Otherwise, perhaps he would have been more circumspect before rushing to the media to cry ‘persecution’. From the recordings, these are the facts: 1. On Saturday, July 4th, 2026, Mr. Obi arrived at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at exactly 20:28 pm, driven by a Policeman. He alighted with two other occupants and went into the terminal building. 2. The Police driver then parked the vehicle, almost blocking the entrance and came out himself and went into the terminal building too. The airport rule is that, apart from the fact that it is a drop-off zone, a driver must remain behind the wheels of the vehicle for it to be tolerated for some time within that zone. Still the vehicle tyres were not clamped. 3. The Policeman came back to the vehicle at about 20:32pm and collected something from the vehicle and went back into the building again, leaving the vehicle unattended to. 4. At this point, the dutiful airport security staff came over and clamped the tyres of the car. In doing this, contrary to the claims by Peter Obi, nobody was inside the car and so nobody knew whether it was his car (not that it should matter, anyway). 5. When the Policeman returned again and discovered the tyres were clamped, he was directed to an office and upon getting there, he called Mr. Peter Obi on his phone and gave the phone to the manager. Mr. Peter Obi then introduced himself and spoke with the manager, peddled his ‘influence’ and requested for the release of the vehicle. His vehicle was then released without him paying the necessary fine. 6. It is important to note that the time the vehicle was parked unattended to in that prohibited zone was about 30 minutes, which constitutes a security risk at an airport by global best practices. What has emerged from this is a clear case of an opposition candidate trying to whip up unnecessary sentiments for a wrong he committed with his driver. The excuse which Mr. Peter Obi gave that there were other offenders too on that day (which is completely false) cannot be an excuse for an individual aspiring to be President of Nigeria. He must live above board. This is a matter that was not even mentioned at all by the airport authorities and had been put to rest. But ever determined to milk any situation to score cheap political points, Mr. Peter Obi decided to go on air to render a false narrative. Therefore, he must also face the consequences of his actions. (I have attached the CCTV footages to this statement for the public to clearly see what transpired.) In the circumstances, consistent with the principle of equality before the law, as Minister of Aviation, I make the following demands on Mr. Peter Obi: 1. That he tenders an unreserved, public apology to those hardworking, ordinary Nigerian workers at the airport, just doing their jobs dutifully and whom he sought to blackmail as his ‘persecutors’. 2. That Mr. Peter Obi voluntarily goes back to the airport and pay the appropriate fine of N25,000 for wrongful parking at the airport for which he used ‘influence peddling’ to bully his way out on that day. He cannot be bigger than the law. If these demands are not met within one week, I will be giving the necessary directives to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to take the next steps against him.

FOLLOW-UP ON ALLEGATIONS AGAINST PERSONNEL OF DEPOT NIGERIAN ARMY, OSOGBO Further to our initial press release dated 30 June 2026, signed by this office, on allegations of misconduct by some recently passed-out personnel, Headquarters Depot Nigerian Army, Osogbo wishes to address recent developments in the public space. The Nigerian Army and by extension Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo, remains fully committed to a thorough, impartial and transparent investigation into all allegations of unprofessional conduct. The Army remain professional and does not condone indiscipline. On the Allegations of Rape, now Circulating on Social Media, the Commandant has taken note of rape allegations recently attributed to the Vice Chancellor of Osun State University Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye and amplified on social media platforms. At this time, Depot Nigerian Army, Osogbo has not received any formal complaint, medical report, or credible evidence from any alleged victim, witness, or the University Management to substantiate the claim of rape by our personnel. In the absence of such concrete evidence, we view the widespread circulation of this specific allegation as unconfirmed and potentially misleading to the public. We therefore urge all parties to refrain from actions or statements that may prejudice the ongoing investigation or inflame tensions. We therefore make a direct appeal to any alleged victim(s) of assault or sexual misconduct; and any eyewitness(es) with verifiable information, including videos, photographs, medical records, or statements. Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo reiterates its commitment to civil-military cooperation, the protection of students, and the upholding of human rights. We will continue to update the public as the investigation progresses. IBRAHIM YAHAYA Major Assistant Director Army Public Relations Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo 3 July 2026

I received the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tunji Disu @TunjiDisu1, at the State House earlier today, where we had an extensive discussion on the security situation in Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election. During our meeting, I reaffirmed my administration’s zero tolerance for violence, thuggery, and all forms of electoral misconduct. I made it clear that anyone found culpable, regardless of status or political affiliation, must be arrested and made to face the full weight of the law. I am encouraged by the assurance of the Inspector-General of Police that the forthcoming election will be peaceful and that the Nigeria Police Force will remain professional, impartial, and apolitical before, during, and after the election. I equally reaffirmed my administration’s commitment to working with all security agencies to ensure a peaceful, free, and credible electoral process in Osun State.

Some of our people actually went to university with this Adeniyi Matthew, and he has always been a crook. He tried twice to be SUG President but lost and even then, he still went around misrepresenting himself as SUG President until people found out. He was involved in a pyramid scheme shortly after which scammed people in Ogbomosho where he is from and then he disappeared into thin wind. He reappeared in 2016 when he declared himself President of World Youth Organization. He ran that scam for months until UN was forced to publicly disassociate from themselves from him. He claimed Obasanjo made him world youth president. Took pictures with him and put it everywhere on Nigeria media. Not once did Obasanjo say a word. The government is like a big corporation. People assume all parts of government talk to each other but that isn’t the case. First, he forged a letter of appointment, he used that letter and money and appearances to grease palms in the SGF’s office to get an office. Because our civil service is not the most efficient, someone somewhere didn’t verify that letter, took his words and appearances for it and let greed take charge. Next, he used his fake appointment which now sits in a real government office to start creating a persona. There are different drafts of budgets. The guy never got funded. He probably got on that budget list by going through any of the House of Representatives Members looking to fund their constituency projects through MDAs. Most members will push for your agency to be put in the budget if you proposition them that you will allow them out some of them constituency projects in their areas. Now for this criminal, he most likely got on the budget through this way. There is no way the executive is putting you on a budget unless it going to fund it. The executive allows the NASS to tinker with the budget to accommodate their own constituency needs. We only got to know this because the chief of staff spoke out. The chief of staff does not make appointments. This criminal was moving so quickly that all government offices were asking clarifications from each other He said he got a waiver to employ 314 workers. Which means the president gave him approval to bypass the civil service to do these employments. Where is the statement from the presidency or FEC direct on that. Waivers are not just granted. They are debated in FEC or done by executive orders. Dude is playing on the ignorance people have of how government works. A key problem is that the government cannot account for each person acting on its authority. By the way, if the government didn’t want to stop these acts, it will never see the light of the day. Police file eight-count criminal charge against convener of ‘presidential promotion council’ The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has filed an eight-count criminal charge against Adeniyi Adeyemi, convener of a purported presidential foreign intervention promotion council, over the controversy trailing the agency. In a statement on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesperson, said the charges were filed by the police on November 27, 2025 against Adeyemi and two accomplices at the federal high court in Abuja. thecable.ng/police-file-ei…

He didn't spare UN too. He once declared that he was appointed by UN as the World Youth President. UN eventually denied😆 EFCC once arrested him for forging the signature of a sitting SW Governor(who is running for his second term at the moment). He used the Governor's name to dupe people to the tune of N200m, EFCC forced him to refund N180m. So, why did they still allow him to roam freely to injure other victims? People like this must face the full weight of our law, together with his accomplices.

STATEHOUSE STATEMENT Re: The Matter of Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew and the fictitious  Presidential Economic Advisory Council We are aware of the public interest in the matter of a man called  Adeyemi Adeniyi Matthew, who has been parading himself as the director-general of a fictitious Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council cum Presidential Economic Advisory Council. The office of the Chief of Staff to the President first blew the whistle on the existence of the illegal agency, following complaints from officials of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council that another government agency appeared to be functioning at cross-purposes with it. The Chief of Staff, on October 17, 2025, in a letter, asked the DSS and the Police to probe the activities of ‘fraudsters and imposters’ forging appointment letters purportedly from his office. “The attention of this office has been drawn to the activities of certain individuals and groups engaged in the forgery of official appointment letters purportedly issued from my office. The fake documents, bearing falsified signatures, reference/folio numbers, and seals, have been used to claim leadership appointments to non-existent entities, with particular reference to the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. “The aforementioned entity under the leadership of one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew as Director-General is said to have an office at the Federal Secretariat Complex Phase 111, 2nd Floor. Also, they have been parading themselves as a legitimate government agency, hosting meetings with both foreigners and Nigerian citizens, and even going so far as to request a note verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the United States of America to facilitate visas for some of their staff. “The above development not only constitutes a serious criminal act but also undermines the integrity of the presidency and the credibility of official government communication.  “I therefore urge you to initiate a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend those involved and also to uncover the network facilitating the forgery,” the Chief of Staff wrote in his petition to the security agencies. The letter to the security agencies was accompanied by a copy of the forged appointment letter, a copy of the request for a note verbal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and pictures of engagements obtained from the illegal agency's website. Around the time the Chief of Staff lodged the complaint with the security agencies, the existence of the fake agency had raised concerns within the Foreign Affairs Ministry. In a letter on October 15, 2025, the Foreign Affairs Ministry wrote to the office of the National Security Adviser and the Chief of Staff to the President, requesting clarification on the status of Adeyemi’s agency. The letter, which Ambassador Anderson Madubuike signed, followed Adeyemi’s October 10 meeting with ambassadors at the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Asokoro, without recourse to the ministry. “This act contravenes extant rules and regulations guiding diplomatic practices globally,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in its letter. On October 20, the Office of the National Security Adviser wrote to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, on the request of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. On 29 October,  the OSGF wrote to the Chief of Staff requesting clarification. “This has become expedient owing to several requests from governmental and non-governmental bodies seeking to ascertain the status of the appointment under consideration” Two days earlier, the Chief of Staff sent his own clear rebuttal to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, stating that he had never issued an appointment letter to Adeyemi as director general of the fake presidential foreign investment promotion council. The Chief of Staff could not have issued a letter of appointment to a non-existent agency. Moreover, the Chief of Staff does not make appointments or write letters, as these are the exclusive preserve of the Office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation. On November 5, 2025, the Chief of Staff responded to the OSGF, again flatly denying Adeniyi Adeyemi and his spurious agency. “Prince Adeniyi Matthew, director-general of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, is unknown to any office, nor do we have any dealings with the said council. “My attention was drawn to a letter of this purported application, which is fake, and my office has instructed the police and other relevant security agencies to carry out investigations on the person and the entity he claims to represent”, the chief of staff wrote. The Police made the first move by responding to the chief of staff's letter dated 17 October and began their investigation. On 27 October, Adeyemi was arrested in Abuja at the Secretariat office where he operated his elaborate scam. The police searched the office and Adeyemi’s home in Suleja, recovering vital documents and exhibits. In Adeyemi’s statement to the police, he claimed that one Dolapo Babatunde Tanimola assisted him in procuring the fake appointment letter. Following his claim, the police went after the said Tanimola.  The Police found that Tanimola died in a fire incident at Kachi Hotel in Abuja on 22 October, five days before Adeyemi’s arrest. Tanimola’s body was seen by the police at the morgue, confirming the death. The police were able to establish that the agency Adeyemi purportedly headed was fictitious, that he forged his appointment letter and the documents recovered in his office and home, that he falsely paraded himself as a government appointee, and that he falsely solicited a note verbal from the Foreign Affairs Ministry to enable him and his staff to obtain US visas. The police also found that Adeyemi operated 34 bank accounts, with nine opened in the names of his fictitious agencies, known as the FCT Investment Promotion Agency and the Public Private Partnership (FIPA-APP), and the FCT Investment Promotion Act. The Police found that Adeyemi, using the fake documents he created, fraudulently opened a CBN account by misleading the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. According to the police, no government money has been transferred into the account. “The act of the suspect constitutes criminal forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence, thereby bringing the office of the Chief of Staff to the President and the Presidency to disrepute before the public and international community”, the police wrote in the report of the investigation conducted by the assistant commissioner, Kabir Mogaji.  Based on their investigations, the police filed an eight-count charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja against Adeyemi and two of his accomplices on November 27, 2025. He is due in court on July 27. Adeyemi was on police bail when he recently claimed that the Chief of Staff had appointed him as DG of the fictitious agency. This claim contradicted his statement to the police in November last year. His new claim prompted the Chief of Staff, on June 8, to issue a disclaimer consistent with earlier advisories that the man, called Adeyemi,  is an impostor.  The case of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew is a clear case of a con artist who appears to have built a web of false claims to deceive unsuspecting government officials and the public into playing by his scam book. He has a history of fraudulent misrepresentation. In November 2016, he paraded himself as an ambassador and President-General of the World Youth Organisation (WYO), an affiliate of the United Nations (UN). He claimed to have been elected in New Delhi, India. The local media celebrated him until the UN denied the existence of such a body. Politicians and members of the public who are weaponising Adeyemi's claim against the Chief of Staff should refrain from swallowing his narrative hook, line and sinker. They are advised to await the trial of Adeyemi and his accomplices, as well as the court's judgement, as comments made today are sub judice. So with all the acclaimed popularity of dancing Governor Adeleke, Accord Party needed to rent Oriyomi Hamzat loyalists from Ibadan. At Aregbe, the number of buses that came from Ibadan is so much that you'd believe that's how good transportation businesses have been booming in Osogbo. Adeleke is unpopular off social media, and August 15th would reveal what a lot of people have been saying. Social media is not a real place.
