Yesterday a CVSS 10 dropped for React Server Components. CVE-2025-55182. Remote code execution. I am a 10x developer. I make $340,000 a year. I have vested stock options. I have not written code since 2023. I prompt. My entire codebase was generated by Claude. I don't know what's in it. Neither does Claude. We're both vibing. Someone on Hacker News said our marketing site was vulnerable. I asked Claude to check. Claude said "I don't have access to your production environment." I said "just guess." Claude guessed we were fine. I shipped that to Slack. Our security team asked for proof. I sent them the Claude transcript. They said that's not how vulnerability assessment works. I said "sounds like a you problem." Our CISO scheduled an all-hands. He asked who was responsible for React dependencies. I pointed at the junior dev. The junior dev pointed at npm. npm pointed at the open source maintainer in Nebraska. The maintainer makes $0. I make $340,000. We are not the same. The CISO asked for a remediation timeline. I said "we'll leverage our AI-driven DevSecOps pipeline." He asked what that meant. I said "we'll ask Claude to fix it." He seemed satisfied. The junior dev asked if we should just run npm update. I told her that's not how enterprise architecture works. She did it anyway. The vulnerability was patched in 4 minutes. I took credit in the postmortem. I said I "enabled a culture of rapid remediation." The junior dev got a $500 spot bonus. I got promoted to Staff. She asked how. I said "I'm a force multiplier." She asked what I multiply. I said "vibes." The AI revolution isn't about replacing workers. It's about replacing knowledge. With confidence. I have mastered this.
