is 7 layers to make a snare really that crazy? a fundamental, a top part, a pre transient, layering foley and playing around with different tails etc, sometimes i open up a project and just make things like snares.. i wonder why some ppl got triggered. too much work?

@SweetToothAudio Volume has to be adjusted with occupancy too I reckon, so typically less people for openers = no need for headliner volume, but in an ideal situation I don’t think you should be able to tell that the volume changes even though it is getting louder as the night goes on

Gain staging is a thing because ear fatigue is extremely real. Granted some shows are fucking egregious when it comes to this but the night should progressively get louder.

everyone is missing the point of the “openers shouldn’t be loud” argument everyone should be very loud all the time and there should be seamless transitions between DJs.
