We look at the career of basketball star Brianna Turner. She went from the top high school prospect at Manvel High School near Houston to become a WNBA veteran.

THE LAYUP LINE🏀: No. 6 Barbers Hill Eagles🦅 @bhladybball was among the few remaining teams standing in Class 5A-Division II last season, finishing with a 32-8 record and a trip to the State Semifinals. Now, under seventh-year head coach Bryan Harris — who boasts 682 career victories, including 184 at Barbers Hill — the program is equipped to pick up right where it left off. Four starters return, led by TABC All-Region selections @BrooklynnR_2027 and @JayciLackey7 , both juniors who spearheaded the Eagles’ scoring last season. Roberson averaged 12.5 points per game, while Lackey added 12 points and seven rebounds per contest. Supporting the duo are senior @LecompteAutumn2 (10.5 ppg, 6 rpg), junior Kaelyn Blanchard (6 ppg, 5 rpg), and senior @mackenzie_2026 (5 ppg, 4 rpg). LeCompte earned first-team, all-district honors, while Blanchard was a second-team selection, giving the Eagles plenty of familiarity across the floor. Success this season will hinge on defensive intensity, team cohesion, discipline, and athleticism — all hallmarks of Harris’ program. Wielding a renewed focus, the Eagles have a clear goal in mind.
