@Mahcus_Smaht Joe is the one that enables D Whites crazy 3P shot selection which leads to too much instability in the variance. He also built the offense around JB ISOs. He doesn’t put his players in position to succeed on Offense so I’m not surprised when two overrated players don’t play well

I’ll preface this by saying that Joe got rocked by Nurse. You will not win anything when this is how you play with your second/third best player on, and off the court. I understand that Joe did them no favors, but they played WELL below their capabilities, especially Derrick.

I feel like the difference between regular-season and playoff coaches has never been bigger. You have these guys who are awesome at developing cultures and structures that get you through 82, but the seven-game chess match is like an entirely different skill set.

the fundamental issue with Jaylen Brown's scoring process is that it's purely contingent on whether the ball goes in and it really does nothing to bend defenses in any meaningful way; the ball did go in a few times in the 4th to make it look like JB was dragging the Celtics back into the game but it was about as good as it got for essentially the entirety of the game, Sixers were happy to drop super deep and guard JB 1-on-1, there was no need to gap, the wing defenders could just stick to the shooters and if the ball goes in, well, you just kind of move on because it happens from time to time. For this process to work out in your favour JB would probably need to be closer to 70% ts, 55% just ain't it that's basically creating two parallel offensive processes, it's detrimental for Boston in most situations, except for maybe when JB gets switched onto Maxey
