I tiered QBs based on who I'd want to start a franchise with RIGHT NOW. Contract value, age, & opportunity cost are all factors. E.g., Drake Maye is the most valuable QB. Josh Allen might even be a little better, but Maye is YOUNG & CHEAP. And probably better. Explanations👇

@pistons_jack There is no way in the new NBA to create a championship after paying 3 homegrown assets top dollar.
The most recent example we have is the Warriors, who had Steph, Klay, and Draymond. They benefitted from a once-in-a-lifetime increase in the cap that allowed KD to sign.

As a fan who has largely only witnessed mediocre Pistons team for 12 of my 14 years as a fan, teams that went all in (Blake Griffin) and teams that drafted poorly… sign me up for 4+ years with a core of a 24 year old MVP candidate, a 23 year-old DPOY candidate and a 22 year old All Star.
I’m more than happy with a team that wins 50+ games over a long span, that’s just me though.
