@TechFundies @jonrice80 We are trialing as well. Has your FDS support team provided any helpful resources covering best practices for prompts, integrating MCP data into existing workflows, etc? Our rep mentioned they have a bunch of pre-built skill files but haven't gotten our hands on anything yet

@jonrice80 Thanks for the thoughts. I’ve found value in some more open ended exploration with Claude having all the FDS context as well. Probably not useful as a fixed comp table that needs to stay static. Let me know what you end up deciding.

@Borlaug_ @feliperojas1984 Agree underlying trends still tracking to plan. Hard to grasp thought process on messaging tho, no? Said last Q no longer disclosing order details but what happened to "remaining transparent"? Am I alone in struggling to square yday tone w/ past comments over past few months?

$RGEN didn't even try to hide it on the call. Guided 2026 for 9%-13% organic but then also guided LITERALLY EVERY FRANCHISE to +LDD% or better.

@JaredKubin This may be a dumb question but is there an easy way to see which stocks are included in a given factor and why?

@TheLAPurchaser More curious if this changes ur view on $BSX at all? PFA clearly big enough mkt 4 multiple players to win but not sure matters in the NT w/ $BSX narrative so focused on PFA competition ramp. Seems plausible this remains an overhang until we get clarity on exact timing of Champion

@evantindell Their product is absolute trash too. We onboarded them mid last year and had already cancelled by YE due to how terrible the platform was and constant complaints from users.

Also... Amex spun off its corporate travel agent brand? I had never heard of this one $GBTG -2020 era Apollo SPAC, invested in GBTG in 2022, stock is still down from $10 SPAC price -$4b market cap, $5b EV - pre-COVID they grew EBITDA from $138m to $428m in five years, and didn't reach that level again until 2025 -interesting to note Apollo's reason for the transaction (attached). They include "strategic shareholder base" of $AXP, $EXPE, $ZM, and $SABR. -2023 results dramatically underperformed the de-SPAC projections. Had called for 30.8b GMV, $2.4b revenue, and $527m adjusted EBITDA. Actual 2023 adj EBITDA was $380m. Am I crazy to think this thing trades pretty rich relative to peers? 26x PE, 15x EBIT on adjusted, forward numbers

Travel industry thread ✈️🧑‍✈️🛏️🛎️🧳🌎 Feel free to add any stocks in the comments that I miss. First thought: who will emerge with the equity of Sabre Corp after the likely restructuring? $SABR is a technology provider to airlines travel agents one of the largest GDS providers worldwide and was spun off from American Airlines in 2000. They were purchased by Silverlake and re-IPO'd in 2014 with too much debt (IMO). The pandemic crushed them and now EBIT < Interest expense.

@TheLAPurchaser Thoughts on the persistent selling in $ISRG post Q2? Having a hard time pointing to any one reason. Just death by a thousand cuts from generalists avoiding HC, softening hospital volumes, etc?

Al radically reduces information asymmetry ➡️ increases pricing transparency. What stocks have historically relied on opacity, confusion, or custom quoting to maintain pricing power?

@hoosier_to I still struggle with that. Best thing you can do is travel during market holidays so market isn't open during your vacation as much as possible. You have any good answers to this?

@WaterworldCapi1 That was my impression as well. Seems like $TKO intentionally structuring 25 event calendar to be less splashy so that they can jam more into 26. Makes sense given rights renewal. Any concern about $TKO somehow getting screwed by $EDR /SL? (don't know how, just makes me nervous)

@hoosier_to No change to $TKO thesis, still bullish. Stock ran up a lot so natural for it to pull back, don't think anything negative related to quarter, some scheduling things and modeling issues w/ $EDR deal.

The day your mom, dad, uncle, aunt decided to become a MD, PhD, scientist, biologist. That was the day your family buried you. As you consequently became a healthcare vs tech financial analyst. And NPV of that decision - decades ago - was quite simply disastrous. Thanks, Mom.

@Biohazard3737 @SagittaCapital Except in most cases like the example you cite, the reason insurance excludes one and covers the other is because they have negotiated a bigger rebate for themselves. Higher costs for everyone justified by higher profits for insurer. As you said, system is broken.

My point is that the system is inefficient. Huge burden on docs. Huge cost for biopharma. And probably also driving cost for insurance companies (administrative apparatus). You could take all that inefficiency out. Get lower drug prices, better access for patients and more innovation.

One of the biggest problems in the US healthcare system are arbitrary decisions around formularies made by payors. I was prescribed Zoryve ( $ARQT). Denied. Need to fail two other drugs first. So, I again get in touch with my doctor. She writes a script for Ketoconazole Foam. Again, denied. So, now I’ll have to get in touch with my doctor a third time? Not only do payor restrictions, formularies and pre authorization make the work of doctors a lot harder. But they also negatively impact innovation as it is very difficult for small companies to launch new drugs. We could drive a lot of innovation, if we made coverage of new drugs mandatory for the first 5 years post NDA, as long as they’re proven to be cost effective by some commission (companies would have the choice of accepting that price in exchange for automatic full coverage nationwide or opt out and go the traditional route).
