Hope Search & Rescue

Hope SAR was activated yesterday for a search in Manning Park for a missing hiker. We requested mutual aid & were joined by SAR mbrs from Princeton, Penticton, Nicola Valley, Chilliwack & Central Fraser Valley. Teams are preparing to resume the search this morning.

the team made their way up the FSR with the UTV and located the vehicle in question. HSAR members investigated the scene and were pleased to be able to relay to the RCMP & those waiting at the staging area, that the vehicle was empty; no subjects involved. #bestoutcome #HSAR

Just before 3:30 today, #HSAR along w/ their neighbors #HopeFireDept, were tasked out by #RCMP after a report of a vehicle that had been spotted over an embankment on the Jones Lake FSR. After setting up a staging area at the bottom of the FSR,

#HSAR was called out at 16:50 today for a semi that had rolled down an approx 70 ft embankment near #BostonBar. HSAR was able to extricate the driver & bring the subj up w/ the mutual aid assistance from Chilliwack Search & Rescue. The patient was then safely passed over to #BCAS

#HSAR is on enroute to an MVI for a person trapped in their vehicle which has gone into a creek.
