$SPX 30 mins RSI 96. Imagine you shorted index on the 8th because RSI was 80 for the first time. You would blow up your port. That is why for RSI you have to wait for divergence. And more importantly, do the inverse. Buy extreme oversold in up trend and sell overbought in downtrend.

Not gonna lie… I feel like I understand Michael Burry a little better now. Sitting there watching $SPY rip while you’re loaded half into puts like… yeah… this is fine. Got caught in that squeeze but let’s keep it real. I wasn’t overexposed. I was sitting around 40% intended size and used that gap up at 677 to build into full intended size exactly how I planned. Down about $15k on the month realized from having a 120k year so far. I still think this month will be my best month yet. But building into the position, starting small, that is the part people don’t follow. They see price go against you for a bit and think it’s over. Nah. That’s where the positioning actually gets built if you’re doing it right. Setup hasn’t changed. Just had to sit through the “Burry phase” for a minute. Now we wait. May puts have plenty of time on them. And where we added heavily at 677 was great for where it is headed. #SPY #StockMarket
