It may sound silly, but when I first started writing this fic, I was listening to a Taylor Swift song one day and suddenly the ending popped into my head. It’s a VERY rom-com-coded scene, so the entire story has basically been built around getting there!

Precisely this. For example, we first started seeing plaid in August 2024, and then Showgirl was released 14 months later on National Plaid Day. No one is saying things are coming tomorrow. What we are saying is we are noticing the beginning of a pattern.
