Getting to interview Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin & Dean Cundey all for “Horror in Haddonfield” was such a thrill. I will never forget telling Stacey she was the first interview for the book & her saying “So, I’m taking your virginity, huh?” I don’t think I’ve ever blushed so hard.

There’s just something about In Search of Darkness Part I (2019)… Halloween III (1982) was not the sequel most were expecting, but over the years it has found its audience. Do you like this one? Like it. Share it. Tag someone who needs this in their feed.👇

While I’m not discussing details for my upcoming second book yet, I am excited to announce that I recently interviewed David Duchovny for it. For the rest of my life, I can now say that I made Spooky Mulder crack up laughing. Life goal achieved.

BTS photo from Rob Zombie’s Halloween. Phil Parmet sent me hundreds to use for “Haddonfield”. This is one of my favorites. @horrorinhaddon

While mainstream audiences would agree with this assessment, the core Halloween (and dedicated horror audience) would be in strong opposition to it. Important to note that JLC only came back for H20 because she pitched the idea. The DGG trilogy was an effort to “reboot after the reboot” & was always intended to move past JLC. The diehard Halloween fandom is almost equally as loyal to Danielle Harris, which is evident by her convention appearances, fan petitions etc. It’s a massive testament to the strength of H4, which at this point is almost universally recognized as a Top 3 entry in the series. Halloween, if anything, laid the groundwork for how a franchise can be successful without its original protagonist while still pivoting back to them periodically.

Halloween without Jamie Lee Curtis didn’t really work. It’s why they went back to Jamie for H20 and then again for Halloween 2018, KILLS, and ENDS

Tomorrow, I’m set to interview one of TV’s most prestigious directors. Someone who has worked with everyone. Hand picked by A Listers. Held prestigious positions. Lots of award nominations. A true trailblazer behind the camera & in the industry. Who is it?

While the Producers Cut is an improvement, the best version of Halloween 6 exists in the script. Dan Farrands penned a script that truly serviced characters & fans alike, crafting a story that tied the series together & left room to grow. It’s unfortunate that we were deprived of it.

I am once again sorry to the fans of this one but the Theatrical Cut is not for me… boxd.it/efl5WX

Getting to interview Danielle for “Haddonfield” was a thrill. But what was even more special was realizing exactly how great of a person she is. Kind, giving, hilarious & supportive. She deserved her own chapter in the book based off her work but now I’m proud to call her a friend too.

Beau Starr brought a sense of stability to the franchise, when Halloween needed it the most. Sheriff Meeker was the character designed to make you feel safe. Starr excelled in the role. Really wanted to speak with him for “Haddonfield” but it didn’t work out. May he rest in peace

Unfortunately we just got the news that Beau Starr has sadly passed away. He portrayed Sheriff Meeker in Halloween 4 & 5… rest in peace 🧡
