Looking for someone to place a WP blog on our Shopify store The blog needs to live on '/blog/'. This is not an easy project. You need to know what you are doing as Shopify natively does not allow this. Does anyone have the experience to take care of this?

If there is ONE thing I wish Shopify would allow, it's using a subdirectory for a blog that could be hosted by wordpress, because it is FAR superior than Shopify Blogs. I am starting to feel like one e-com brand is hurting because of the subdomain split.

@CicmilJovan @hashnode Reading other answers, I was surprised to discover that a subdomain would be totally independent. SEO is a big thing, go with a subfolder! Hmmm, so for not building that thing on your own, maybe a self-host Ghost, and a reverse proxy (Traefik if you're on docker)

If you were starting a blog on your personal website, would you do it on a subdomain or just a /blog URL? Pros? Cons?

Both DNS and a reverse proxy can route traffic to your website, but each option has ideal use cases. Learn which to use in this guide. bit.ly/3kkQj1X

Anyone know a better rich text editor than using Native @webflow ? Trying to build a blog/membership with with this, or Airtable is horrible. @Ghost has the best by far but has it's limitations too. EditorJS is amazing too - but needs a lot of setup to get it going in Webflow.

@rorhug @Ghost @vercel I set up the reverse proxy and Ghost errors out requiring some setup on their side to allow the reverse proxy to succeed And they charge $100 on top of the $200/month business plan to suppor this

@nilansaha Idealy I’d like to design in Webflow and host on something like this. But the CMS integration seems a bit Hacky. May have ti just do a landing page in Webflow, and then do some sort of Markup blog in addition. Are you using any services like Jekyll for blogging?

Just re-designed and re-architected the Blogs for Landings. It uses Markdown format internally, so its super easy for me to push out more blogs 🚀 Until now the blogs were made with pure code 😅 Before -> After #buildinpublic #indiehacker

@FlorianMielke @webflow @tweetstreakHQ Because we wanted to add a blog to our carrd site on a subdirectory rather than subdomain, then add additional pages like FAQs and maybe a member site. These probably all can be done with Carrd but via workarounds a lot of the time, rather than using something built for it

Just finished making my first site with @webflow it ain’t perfect but it’ll do 💪 Took me probably a day to copy over our design from Carrd but know that it is the right move for us longer term to strengthen our SEO game for @tweetstreakHQ

@ClausRump @thetafferboy @aleyda Why? Because a blog is often on a different CMS from the rest of the site and reverse proxies can be a pain to setup and difficult to maintain. Subdomain for each CMS is the easy path. Agree the subfolder path is worth it for SEO.

Hosting things on subfolder is so painful, someone should create an entire startup to make this easier (ie hosting a domain on webflow for example and hosting a wordpress blog in the subfolder like "/blog") Webflow charges $50K/yr for reverse proxy support FYI 🥲
