Earlier this week we ended our Impact Campaign with a screening of @hostiledoc in Parliament. Director Sonita Gale was joined by @ZoeJardiniere and @NadiaWhittomeMP for a discussion on the film’s impact, the state of the hostile environment and why grassroots activism matters.

Our @hostiledoc Impact Campaign comes to an end with a final screening of the film in @UKParliament on January 13th, 2026. It will include a panel discussion with @ZoeJardiniere and @NadiaWhittomeMP, and will mark director Sonita Gale’s final in person Q&A.

@hostiledoc screened at a number of locations in late May and June, in the run up to and during a very busy @refugeeweek 2025. Thank all of the organisers involved for hosting these events and to everyone who attended.

Last week @hostiledoc screened @PhillipsExeter, Cumberland Sanctuary Network, and @UniofHerts. Interest in the film continues to skyrocket in the run up to Refugee Week 2025, and we are glad the film continues to be used to raise awareness of migrant issues.

We are thrilled to announce the closing event of the second phase of our Impact Campaign - a screening of @hostiledoc @UKParliament on September 10th, 2025. We look forward to the opportunity to ask important questions to those in power about the future of immigration law.

@QMUniversity On March 13th, @QMUniversity screened @hostiledoc to students in the Division of Psychology, Sociology and Education. The screening - which included a first year cohort of students - was part of a module that questioned the issue of citizenship in the UK

On February 28th, Hostile screened for students at the Department of International Development (@odid_qeh) at @UniofOxford, with a Q&A with Director Sonita Gale. The event was part of a series of arts-based initiatives for students getting the Migration Studies degree.

On February 26th, our Impact Campaign continued with director Sonita Gale @galeforcefilms joining students @astonuniversity for a screening of @hostiledoc and a Q&A at the university’s Centre for Migration and Forced Displacement.

2025 started with a bang, after @hostiledoc screened for students @LJMU and the ‘From the Roots Up Society’ @UniofOxford We look forward to Hostile being shown in education settings in the coming months, as our Impact Campaign continues!

In October, @FILMOXFORD screened Hostile for students at the @BFIFilmAcademy, including a Q&A with director Sonita Gale. The event was part of a course to help train and inspire the next generation of UK filmmakers.
