Several claims surfaced today asserting that Wall Street plays no role in manipulating the price of Bitcoin. I took a moment to film my response.

Go Justin: “Jane Street is one of four firms with the keys to Bitcoin's ETF infrastructure. It faces a federal lawsuit alleging insider-driven front-running that helped destroy $40 billion in value. It has been accused of running algorithmic sell programs that suppressed Bitcoin's price for months. And it holds the largest disclosed ETF position in Bitcoin while maintaining a derivative book that could make its actual exposure the opposite of what filings suggest.”

Holy moly. The story is even bigger than this. The CDC is literally admitting to committing fraud in previous incarnations in relation to the autism question and now 'fessing up. And @SenBillCassidy - who received $1m from pharma - demanded the fraudulent claim remains.

Pretty much everyone knows that hormones can be absorbed through the vagina, as a modified transdermal. The reason estriol is not a problem is that it is a very weak estrogen. Nuvaring contains the most potent synthetic estrogen.

You can support access to hormone therapy and acknowledge the nuance, the risks, the side effects and the limitations of it at the same time. This is a very important decision. It’s one that should not be made based on hype.

I tried to use the NuvaRing 15 years ago - set my whole body on fire. My doctor said that was impossible, because the hormones stay local.

We are witnessing zero commitment to gold-standard science. The big pharma-backed campaign to remove the black box warning on HRT products worked. But what exactly is the safety profile of, for example, vaginal estrogen? Nobody knows. There are NO long-term clinical trials. There are only assumptions based on an observational study carried out by a manufacturer of the product. If it looks like another mass medical experiment on women.... Women will pay the price.

Interesting development

A common virus may be the root cause of lupus. Lupus has eluded medical understanding for centuries. Now, Stanford University researchers point to a surprising trigger: the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), the ubiquitous pathogen behind mononucleosis, often called the “kissing disease.” In a groundbreaking study, scientists linked nearly all cases of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)—a severe, chronic autoimmune disorder—to prior EBV infection. Although most of the 90% of adults who carry EBV experience no lasting harm, the virus appears to rewire immune cells in susceptible individuals, sparking the self-directed attacks that define lupus. The evidence is striking: people with lupus harbor EBV-infected B cells at rates 25 times higher than healthy controls. Using cutting-edge genomic analysis, the team showed that EBV infiltrates memory B cells—typically guardians against infection—and converts them into inflammatory agents that sustain autoimmune damage. This mechanism may also account for lupus’s unpredictable flares: EBV remains latent in the body for life, and periodic reactivation could repeatedly jolt the immune system into overdrive. The discovery highlights why lupus strikes unevenly. Not all EBV strains are identical—some may be more aggressive—or certain immune profiles may be uniquely vulnerable to the virus’s reprogramming. Beyond lupus, these findings could illuminate EBV’s role in other conditions, including multiple sclerosis and long COVID, potentially transforming how we approach a wide range of immune-related diseases.
