@GPLapsJake There was a 10 lap exhibition race at NHMS around this same time. Some cars had blistered rear tires at the end of the race. Lap times were a tick slower than IndyCar was running at the time.

@GPLapsJake I went to the first couple Indy races at NHMS back in the 90’s. The cars were so fast it was hard to keep track of what was happening. The cool part was seeing the Penske and Andretti haulers leaving the track afterwards.
