Hey X, Welcome to Hot Take Finance. I’ve spent 8 years grinding in sales and run a small online business on the side. I like money, business, and side hustles, from stocks and startups to real life lessons from the sales floor. Full disclosure: I don’t have it all figured out. I’m just a normal guy trying to level up. I’ve got a car payment, a mortgage, and a wife I love spoiling with dinners out. I stick to a budget, but I also make room to actually enjoy life. I mess up. I learn. I keep moving. What really gets me fired up? Investing. Not just in the stock market, but in businesses, ideas, and people I believe in. Watching growth, financial and personal, is addictive. Follow along if you’re into straight talk finance, hot takes on money and business, lessons from sales and entrepreneurship, and real life money moves, wins, losses, and experiments included. So let me ask: what’s one money or business topic you want my hot take on? Drop it below. #Finance #Investing #Sales #SideHustle

We spent $34k on our destination wedding (including honeymoon). Full bar, great environment, incredible photos, and memories. I get it, $30k is a lot of money and I’ve talked to multiple people who would’ve rather got married in a courthouse and saved the money. My wife and I continue to say we don’t regret it after 3 years. It was special for us.

The average wedding costs $30k+ Couples have: • One day of celebration • Months of stress • Years of payments • Money that could’ve been invested They call it “the best day ever.” At what cost?

@Leo_Traydes $1,300 for an Italy trip seems way too cheap!? Where did you go and what did you do!?

“I don’t want to wait until 60 to enjoy my money” Genuinely what is stopping you from enjoying your money right now? Today? I just spent a total of $1,300 on a trip to Italy last week and don’t regret a single bit of it I spend a good amount of money Golfing every summer too… probably upwards of $1,500-2,000 I have another trip booked for this summer too Why does investing in a Roth IRA instead of a taxable prevent you from living life right now? So many people are worried about retiring early don’t seem to have a purpose in life. You’re going to retire and do what? You’re whole focus while young was to retire early that you now have no hobbies or interests to do while retired In my opinion you need to find a healthy balance between in the now and preparing for the future If it’s a Saturday night and you’re only thinking about market open on Monday no offense but “retiring” early won’t mean much to you

- Don’t spend that $1,000 because it will be worth $5k in the future. - Don’t take that trip, you have to cut expenses. - Don’t spend now, you have to save it for retirement. WHATEVER. 🙄 We shouldn’t save it all for an uncertain future. We have to enjoy the journey too.

@kip_roland I went to Texas Roadhouse the other night. I think you’re exactly right! I ordered an 8oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, corn, and a beer. 🍻 My check was under $20! The value is unmatched! Also, buy the stock! Haha.

Unpopular opinion: The $110,000/yr salaried worker with a good 9–5 job is better off than the 70 hour per week business owner barely earning $65,000/yr. And it’s not even close.

@IesusRexEst @PatrickHeizer I’m just not familiar with the brand. Then again, I’ve never had to do research on washers and dryers yet! My current set is pretty old so I’m sure that’ll come soon! Thanks for the feedback!

@bankertobuilder I live this nightmare everyday. I bought a house with a “2 car garage.” It’s realistically an oversized 1 car garage. The amount of work I would have to do to maneuver 2 vehicles in there everyday would not worth the hassle.

Problem: Garages aren't nearly big enough Solution: 20-foot tall garage that's twice as deep, with garage doors on two sides Let's start building homes that actually make sense for how people live

@wstgoat7 Subway above Jersey Mike’s and Penn Station!?! That’s crazy work. Also, when’s the last time you’ve been to Steak n’ Shake? From a value standpoint, Steak n’ Shake is killing Shake Shack right now.
