@L0m3z It’s literally not. There is nothing complex or “occult” about it. You simply have to cultivate favorable representation of family in art and media. Role of mother has to be nearly mythologized in society above any other pursuit. Role of father must be portrayed as competent.

My own view on the issue of fertility rates is best captured in this paragraph below, which is that fertility is perhaps the most difficult socio-political problem to solve and for which there is very little to be done. I would take this a step further and say that low fertility is *not* a problem to solve at all, that this is the wrong framing entirely, which is why whatever complex solutions, whatever incentives or nudging or cultural changes are proposed, go nowhere. (Even Hungary which has tried everything over the last two decades saw only a temporary and modest improvement in the early 2010s but has failed to create anything resembling a sustainable upward trend.) Perhaps in insular communities, within families and tight knit social groups and of course among committed religious sects you can achieve observable results, but at the scale of nations, of civilizations, you are probably just spinning your wheels. But I am not a pessimist. The human super organism is resilient beyond measure and operating according to a logic and timescale unconcerned by short term trend lines. Much like Ehrlich was wrong in one direction, so too will doomers be wrong in their worry now. Have kids. Have lots of kids. I encourage you to do this. But unless you are an economist I wouldn’t worry too much about tfr. Ebbs and flows.
