@InternetHank @TimSweeneyEpic @rauchg @vercel It seems CC is having trouble with the way the pages are build up, and it s falling back to a search index. At least in our tests. We are still working on that issue. With some luck at the latest next week we hope to have addressed that. 2/2

@InternetHank @TimSweeneyEpic @rauchg @vercel Hi, sorry for the issue! We looked at it today and we addressed the 403 issue, so that should now work. Tho while doing so we uncovered an unrelated second issue with how CC is accessing the pages. 1/2

UE forums have this handy 'Copy Snippet' button for C++ code blocks...except it doesn't copy the newlines so it pastes as a single line into MSVC 🤕

@JKashaar @Luos_83 @UnrealEngine I think the snippets carry a few different purposes. It could be to learn this particular setup, but many people look for a starting point or a foundation to go from I think. In which case a quick copy/paste provides the best experience for them I think

But to manually recreate dozens of nodes from a pic we've all done and it is not very user friendly IMO, even if makes you more aware of what you do

@Luos_83 @UnrealEngine Hi - we have a rating system for both tutorials and snippet in our near future plan. Tutorial ratings will probably be released first. I don't have a precise time, but my guess would be during May. Also noted on the picture option, often requested indeed.

@Luos_83 @TheGurneyMan Late, vacation. There was a weird hack in UE2 we had yeah, I just really cannot recall what it was called:) It was done pure in the texture/material though. When I started I had to do 32x32 tex, was great. Take a photo of a street and you could extrapolate 100 textures of it :)

@vladinator1000 The only problem you might potentially have is that when the sun flips to the next day (eg goes over 0 on some of its axis) the reflection vector might possibly make the cubemap suddenly change position? It has been a while but I remember it hit an issue there

@dovahkiin009087 @snowchimp I can't remember if I said anything about it in the video, I think not, but yeah the camera intersection is not super accurate. I believe the idea was to try a different approach in a future release, to try and improve it if I recall correctly. It is still a preview feature.

I started testing out the buoyancy component for the #UE4 4.26 water system. For the most part it is plug and play with a few adjustments required. I wish there was a proper visualizer for the pontoon locations though. #gamedev #indiegamedeveloper
