Here's my hypothesis, & keep in mind it's truly just my speculation as I don't know Capcom's marketing plans. But Capcom announced RE9 DLC while RE9 was still in the mainstream public

(1/3) Think it happens for three main reasons.
1. Resident Evil for a long time had basically different teams doing each game, so lots of individual people wanted to leave their own mark on the franchise, was never any guarantee anything you put down would be picked back up again

@fromsoftserve I think it makes perfect sense for Sony to respect how protective Miyazaki is of Bloodborne. I could (though with a low likelihood) see a situation where FromSoft buy the IP back, like KojiPro with Death Stranding, and do this sort of port. I'm not holding my breath though

The only things Bloodborne “needs” is 60fps support, up to 4K resolution, and Fromsoft’s current TAA implementation. That’s it. Some might call that a remaster but really that’s just a basic PC port.

I keep seeing people say this means Miyazaki wants to remake Bloodborne himself. I don’t understand that. FromSoftware has never shown an interest in remastering or remaking their own games. An absolute waste of time imo. They just want it on PC. Plus BB doesn’t need a remake.

@YoRHa2Pee I probably won't buy a new laptop (or phone) for several more years, but I wish they would have the cute color schemes for the higher-end items. At least the phones occasionally have like a nice blue or purple. The Pro laptops have just come in various shades of grey forever

@PostW4r You can definitely tell they added it later because of how many people requested it. I don't really understand why people are purists about it considering we already went from fixed camera/tank controls -> different versions of over the shoulder. First-person works great for 7+8

So the next main Resident Evil game is Code Veronica Remake. In Code Veronica, you go to a callback to the RE1
