I’m not religious but even I understand that the day to celebrate over the Easter weekend is not Good Friday but rather Easter Sunday. The whole point of Good Friday is that is a day of sadness on which all hope seems lost. Until, on Sunday, it isn’t.
@LancsCCMG 400 and 4 points will do me, and a Baldy 50* will do his batting confidence a world of good. If our bowlers can't do the job then we're in trouble!
@MediaSOI@di_nitterwitter@gymonkey11@lounew13 Why not post a REAL pic, after all cameras were around before the internet, mobile phones, vaccinations for killer diseases were all invented...?
@howardarw@lancscricket Wonder if they’ve prepared a road to nullify our seamers, with the view that a draw isn’t a bad result against us. It’s what sides did to Surrey last season.
🥪 LUNCH: 99-1 (28)
A strong first session back out in the middle with Luke Wells (51*) leading the charge alongside Josh Bohannon (21*), with a 50 run partnership between the pair.

2026 HERE WE GO! 🌹😍
Our XI and a lancashire debut for Ajeet Singh Dale wearing the Red Rose at Northampton.
The skipper wins the first toss of the season and we will bat first.

@NickFriend1 Always intrigues me why cricket is allowed to have a playing area which is short on one side, long on the other! Imagine if football did that, one wing wider than the other!
The clatter of spikes coming down the pavilion steps. The sound of the ground announcer wafting over the tannoy. Polite applause from the supporters. Freshly cut grass. Pristine Whites. Shiny red ball. The umpire's shout of "Play!" and that first thwack of willow on leather....
@Jennyfurfuls It's OK, they are in a state of panic now. They can't ask for a referendum as they know they'd lose, so all they have left is rage. A bot doesn't have a clue what "Brexit Benefit" they'd miss the most...
NEW: Nigel Farage confirms Reform UK would keep the triple lock for pensions, insisting they could afford it "many many times over" because they are going to announce the biggest ever cuts to the welfare bill in two weeks' time.
@robben4life@PolitlcsUK If it stays, then eventually the pension age will have to increase - maybe 70+ by, what, 2040? If AI takes over jobs (ie national insurance income) there will be little coming in to pay our pensions later.
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage formally commits to the state pension triple lock if Reform UK win the next election
"The people to whom pensions are being paid, certainly compared to a younger generation today, are those who have actually worked and paid into the system"
The amount of people expecting a camera angle showing the Artemis II spacecraft from a distant perspective is disheartening.
Do they expect an additional spacecraft to be sent along with Artemis II just to photograph it along the way? 🤦♂️
@jonhopswan Packed lunch and a long walk in the hills or a day at the beach, whichever's nearer. There might be local groups where kids can play organised sport/games for next-to-nothing; ask on your local face/newsgroups. But keep out of restaurants/take-aways!
Went out for the day with the kids. Nothing fancy, a bit of grub at Nandos & then bowling. Cost a fucking fortune - can't afford to go out again during the school holidays.
Got a Summer holiday booked - fuck knows how we're gonna pay for it.
Something's wrong somewhere.
