According to The Times, Zack Polanski's spokesman said he had cast a postal vote in Hackney, which was a lie as the idiot wasn't even registered to vote. The faint whiff of dishonesty that swirls around Polanski isn't going to go away any time soon.

Labour majority in Makerfield 5,500. In Gorton & Denton it was 15,500. Good luck to Andy but it is a huge risk he is taking.

Burnham to stand in Josh Simons, seat of Makerfield. As mayor of Greater Manchester, he’ll be hoping Makerfield, a constituency split between Greater Manchester and Merseyside will be winnable. Labour won with a majority of 5,399, but Simons is scandal hit, and Labour lost all available seats up for election in Makerfield. This won’t be easy, Nurmham could easily fail, and become immediately politically dead.

It looks increasingly likely that this time next week neither Streeting nor anybody else will have challenged Starmer and Burnham will not have secured a by election to return to the Commons. Some of the press reporting over the last few days has been disgraceful.

No harm but Ed Miliband stood for election as PM in 2015 and lost. That he might secure the position through an internal Party contest alone would cause outrage and anybody thinking it would improve our poll standing is deranged
