I am getting disturbing reports that @ECFMG_IMG has ceased approving certification for those coming from Russia for residency. I hope this is not true.

On this #NationalDoctorsDay, ECFMG, a Member of Intealth, expresses gratitude to all doctors for contributing to the care & well-being of patients. ECFMG provides worldwide support for doctors & for the institutions that educate, train, & assess future generations of providers.

@ECFMG_IMG you speak of worldwide support all while shutting off every opportunity for anyone with Russian citizenship, instead of providing any ACTUAL support for Ukrainians (like cancelling fees). it’s an absurd, discriminatory decision that helps no one.

@ECFMG_IMG how is that fair? you tweet about #NationalDoctorsDay and yet you discriminate against every single Russian physician who spent countless hours studying and working hard to get an opportunity for a better life.

@ECFMG_IMG unfortunately, on #NationalDoctorsDay Russian citizens received news stating that from now on our applications to ECFMG will be cancelled regardless of our political stance.
