Taarna: The Cosmic Gardener is a one-shot published by Heavy Metal in 2021 that expands the mythology of Taarna, the legendary warrior from the animated film Heavy Metal. From Ken Kelly's book 'ESCAPE" come a painting called "RUINS" done in 1993. Ken wrote " The challenge here was to show as much movement as possible. Everything came together in a very tense and exciting way and I'm still pleased with the result." Looks like it really did.
