No one wants Optimus to be perfect - that’s boring - but making him grimdark & bloodthirsty isn’t ‘interesting’ either imo. Optimus is indeed at his best when flawed though, hence Marvel OP resonated for many of us. Insecure, always doubting himself, but forever compassionate
