Scrolled through Facebook for a few minutes (don’t ask). Literally half of the posts were AI slop farming for likes and comments. Dire situation.

@JamesTrvdes 100% a 5k acct needs to protect every dollar. Just like the spike end of day today, I had a SPX call go -60% which stopped then it ran 1k%

My hot take is that the whole “if you can’t be profitable with $5k you can’t be profitable with $500k” is bull shit. There is not enough flexibility to be wrong in a small account. You need to risk a much larger % of your account to buy similar options contracts. I understand the “decision making” perspective these people are probably going for, but realistically it is very difficult to grow a $5k account unless you’re already a professional imo. This is why every single furu on this app that runs a “$5k account challenge” gets blown up. 💀 they make their money from selling subs & from already having a large account. I used to have a $5k account, blew it up. Started a $10k account, blew it up. Started again with another $10k, blew it up again. Took time to learn (position sizing, desirable strikes, etc.) put in $100k, been profitable since. I’ve had room to be wrong without losing half my account, and I’ve had the account size to size up into A+ opportunities.
