Just wrapped our quarterly earnings call. We are focused on delivering AI infrastructure and solutions that empower every business to eval-max their outcomes in this agentic computing era. Our AI business surpassed a $37 billion annual revenue run rate, up 123%. We are at the beginning of one of the most consequential platform shifts that will change the entire tech stack as we move from end-user driven workloads to workloads driven by end-users and agents. This will drive TAM expansion and change the value creation equation across the entire economy. To capture this opportunity, we are executing against two major priorities:

WiFi is struggling to cope at Salishan #HPC conference - close to non functional. So lots of attendees turning on personal phone hotspots to get their laptops online. Fascinating to browse the list of personal hotspot names to see what name people use for their phone / hotspot.

Question to ponder: Change always creates opportunity, even if only relative to others in the ecosystem. So which type of #HPC user or facility could benefit most from the way #AI is changing our community? And who might that gain be relative to?

@PadraigBelton I always take them but the family are fed up of getting them. Happy to drop them off somewhere every few months. Been giving them to the local charity shop otherwise.

Some of you might know I fly a teensy bit too much (I’m in LHR now) and run a tiny group of 1,200 BA golds/GGLs who raise a glass when they overlap in the clouds and lounges, and look after each others’ friends and family when they’re travelling. One of our members has had the excellent idea we start saving our long-haul and hotel toiletries bags, and give them, together, to a domestic violence women and children’s refuge. So we will be doing this. If you would like to join in, please get in touch. Tiny bottles of Elemis will have never gone to better use.

@Patrick1Kennedy I’m not necessarily against no-wifi flights as such. It’s rare to be out of contact that long. But also removes any temptation to work on the flight so forces some downtime.

@hpcnotes I did Taipei and back this month with no WiFi in either direction. Cannot wait for Starlink on those flights

Heading out of Houston after a very productive and enjoyable couple of days at the Rice Energy #HPC #AI Conference this week. Thanks to the committee for inviting me to the opening panel and for putting on a great event as always. Onwards to my next stop.

Blue sky and sunshine - haven’t seen much of that recently … nice location for some calls before I head to meetings.

Used the long flight to rearrange the app icons on my iPhone screen … so now I’ll spend all week not being able to find my apps quickly!

I used to visit Houston several times a year in my previous role but as far as I can remember this is my first visit to Houston since joining Microsoft 6 years ago - here for the always excellent #Rice #EnergyHPCAI conference #HPC

Ridiculous traffic problems at @manairport yet again - people at risk of missing flights trying to get to T2 drop off - how can MAG pretend anything other than that the T2 saga has been a disaster of planning and execution.

@manairport Maybe @manairport should actually listen to the feedback of being voted worst airport in the UK for several years running instead of arguing about it and pretending it isn’t real.

@manairport However the outside of @manairport - traffic, arrangements for drop off and pick up, parking, etc. - are all an embarrassment for the region and the country.
