@walterwhitepill Your assessment is correct. One baby is a cakewalk, having one child in general is very easy. Especially if two parents are involved. Add a couple more and the equation changes.

@dallasteslaclub Do you have heavily tinted windows? This use to always be my issue on HW3 with limo tint. You can always adjust the screen to daytime mode that way it provides illumination and then it works

Need FSD advice. Has anyone ever had “low cabin illumination” issues with FSD when supervising at night? I tried to take a buddy on a demo drive tonight and couldn’t get the car to find either of our faces for hands free attention monitoring so it constantly was steering wheel nagging.

Literally was first on to a scene this last week. Model Y doing 80mph wrong way on highway smashed into pickup and killed the other driver. I helped get the driver of the model y out not knowing what had happened. He stunk like alcohol. Don’t understand why people don’t utilize this life saving tech. Side note the model y after getting into a head on collision going 80 with a pickup looked surprisingly good and the intoxicated driver barely had a scratch.

If you’re trying to “optimize” testosterone after becoming a dad, the theoretical playbook is simple: minimize skin-to-skin contact with your newborn to avoid the prolactin/oxytocin surge that’s associated with lower testosterone. So yes strictly speaking, fewer cuddles = less of that hormonal shift. Of course, this leads to the highly recommended alternative bonding strategies: crisp high-fives, respectful nods, and maybe a firm handshake once they’ve got neck control. But in reality? Those newborn snugglesskin-to-skin, the whole oxytocin flood are kind of the point. Testosterone may dip a bit in early fatherhood (likely an adaptive shift toward caregiving), but most guys normalize over time. So sure, you could optimize your hormones… …but you’d be trading away one of the best parts of being a dad.

@BoBbyPleWniaK To be fair, on a highway or freeway they work very similar to a Tesla. People are ok with driving manually around the city and the suburbs, it's the road trip highways that people want the car to drive.

I couldnt imagine being Elon Musk and the major thing currently he is trying to solve at Tesla with FSD and <1% of the us population has any idea what in the world it is. Its a joke and I'm ashamed as an investor that I have people in fords, gms, or kia coming up to me and saying their vehicle drives themselves around hands free just like a Tesla that I have.

I’m just going to say it and I know I’ll get some hate for it, but v14.2.2.5 is the worst FSD release since v14. Constantly in the wrong lane, a lot of weird maneuvers, so many additional nav errors, routing, speed control, parking, and that’s just to name a few. v14.3 cannot come soon enough.

@TuscaloosaSEC Not yet. But I can’t believe a baby has been crying for 10 hours. Doesn’t seem normal. 1 hour, maybe. But 10? Wow. Unbearable.

Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

I do the 350 mile drive from Redlands to Yosemite once a week. You are right @WilliamShatner it’s about 20 minute charge time each way but if it wasn’t for FSD I probably would hate the drive. I will sacrifice 40 minutes over a 700 mile drive for FSD . It’s a game changer! (By the way love you work and thank you for all the entertainment over the years ! )

And for the #teslarites who don’t understand 500 miles. Time is money. How long does it take to pump a tank of gas? 4-5 mins versus 30. Early last week I went up to the Yosemite area (about 300 miles.) I got up there, did my thing and got gas (5 mins) and drove back. With a Tesla. It would be drive up (maybe on one charge) charge up 20-30 mins, do my thing. Drive back, stop along the way to recharge (again probably another 20 mins…) That’s too long. 500 would be one recharge so it’s 10 mins gas versus 29-30 mins which I would consider.🤷🏼

I honestly have no doubt that if the Model Y L were sold in the U.S., it would sell super well. I know so many people who want the Model X but can’t justify paying that price. The Model Y L would give them X features, but at a much more reasonable cost.

It's laughable to believe that North America will "magically" have 12 million self-driving cars in 3 years. I've yet to see one self-driving car on the road. My wife tutors elementary age students after school. Most of these kids are bouncing off the wall because of ADD. How will a robot teach children with ADD and other disabilities?

@tommyswriting @BelieveOnJesus The answer is to probably save the host family from Embarrassment. In that day and age running out of wine and food at a banquet was extremely humiliating and Christ was showing his love and care for that family.

Too many people on the internet like to shit on alcohol I get it Lizard man Bryan Johnson, it’s not “good for you.” But, I dare you to find a beverage that relaxes you and tunes you into God and the divine cosmos like a good Argentine Malbec Pair a glass with some smooth Jazz or Mozart and you’re floating on a cloud of creativity and peace It’s like humans have been drinking this for thousands of years for a reason From Homer to Biblical Israel to Renaissance Italy this beverage has birthed more high minded than perhaps any thing else

I think it’s time for me to start drinking moderately again. I need to close the 17 tabs that are constantly open in my mind. Deep breathing doesn’t do it. Sunlight doesn’t do it. Grounding doesn’t do it. But a bit of alcohol and 90s music gets it done. Always has.

Do not put your kid in a subcompact car when they get their license. Corolla. Civic. I wouldn’t even put them in a sedan. Do you want them to survive their first accident or not? My son will drive an F150 and my daughter will drive an Expedition.
