Let me re-introduce myself. My name is Henri Pierre-Jacques and I am co-founder of @HarlemCapital, a fund backing the next generation of winners. My mission is to build rooms that didn't exist before. Not more seats at someone else's table, entire rooms. I was fortunate to have mentors who looked like me early in my career. That visibility changed what I believed was possible. Many never get that opportunity. You can't be what you can't see so I share my story in case someone else needs to see it. I view workouts as work. That doesn’t mean they aren’t fun, but they are scheduled and unavoidable. All my workouts are on my work calendar and I treat those as a meeting with myself

@McclaneDet yea that's ideal, but airlines barely make profits so leaves the airport which is govt owned too but not federally. That likely would at least lead to less funding gaps though

These TSA lines just make our government look chaotic. One time, fine. Two times, pissed. Three times, unbelievable… We need to separate TSA from short term funding bills, it is critical to our GDP and has massive downstream effects

@NeillFrazier I think the airlines should but their margins are already so low I doubt it works

In the last 12 months, we invested in 8 companies, 5 were repeat founders. Before starting these new companies, those 5 had already: - Raised $200M+, IPO’d one startup, and sold another for 9 figures - Raised $100M+, scaled to $50M+ ARR, and sold for 9 figures - Raised $100M+ and scaled to $50M+ ARR - Raised $90M+ and scaled to $10M+ ARR - Raised $30M+ and scaled to $5M+ ARR When we started @HarlemCapital, we could not have backed many of these founders. Most of their first companies were funded after 2016. Now they are on company two and three. And because we spent 5+ years building relationships, we had the opportunity to back them. We still love first-time founders too. Our other 3 investments were led by founders who had been: - CRO of a unicorn - Operator at a unicorn - VC at a Tier 1 fund We knew these founders for anywhere from a few weeks to a few years, a shorter time frame, but each has a unique edge in the space they’re building. At the end of the day, we are backing the next generation of winners, so we focus on the people.

This weekend was my son’s 2nd birthday. Watching him grow into his own little person has been the greatest joy. Seeing his grandparents, family, and my friends love on him and celebrate him was amazing. Marking these moments as a simple reminder of what truly matters.
